Red Bull Salzburg coach Matthias Jaissle is hoping that today’s friendly clash between his team and Inter will be a good test for both sides.
Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the coach anticipated that even in spite of not being a competitive match, today’s friendly will be a good opportunity for both teams to show their quality against good opposition.
Inter beat Gzira United 6-1 in the first of two friendlies during their training retreat in Malta.
The Maltese team proved to be fairly straightforward opposition for the Nerazzurri as they got back onto the pitch for the first time since the club season paused for the World Cup.
This time around, the Nerazzurri will face more difficult opposition on paper.
Salzburg are reigning Austrian champions and Champions League regulars, and they could give Inter a difficult challenge in terms of both their individual quality as well as tactical organization.
Salzburg coach Jaissle predicted that “It may just be a friendly match, but they’re great opponents for us to come up against.”
“We must absolutely fully concentrated on Wednesday.”
